Omurbek Tekebaev Chirkeshovich - the leader of the parliamentary faction "Ata Meken"

He was born in  the village Akman district of the region Bazar-Korgon of Jalal-Abad on December 22, 1958.

Higher education. In 1981 he graduated the Kyrgyz State University, with a specialization "Physics teacher" in 1994 - Kyrgyz State National University, with a specialization "Lawyer".

He began his career in 1981 as a teacher of physics in high school named after Toktogul in village Akman of Bazar-Korgon district.

From November 1981 to December 1983 he served in the Soviet Army.

In 1984 he continued to work in a secondary school in the village Akman.

In September 1986, moved to Osh State Pedagogical Institute as laboratory assistant, then worked as a senior laboratory assistant.

In the years 1987-1991 - a teacher of physics and mathematics in high school, and later Methodist (Supervisor) Region Methodic Department Bazar-Korgon district department of education.

In April 1991, appointed as a Head of the Regional Department of Antimonopoly Policy and Support of Entrepreneurship of Jalal-Abad region.

From 1991 to 1992 - Chairman of the political party "Erkin Kyrgyzstan."

In 1991-1993 - Member of the Commission on formation of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic and a member of the working group of the Commission.

In September 1991 he was elected a member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, a member of the Committee of Council of the Republic on legal matters.

From 1992 to 1994 he served as deputy head of the State Administration of Jalal-Abad region.

From 1994 to the present Chairman of the Socialist Party "Ata Meken".

In 1994 - a member of the Constitutional Council.

Elected to the Supreme Soviet of the Kirghiz SSR of the XII convocation.

From 1995 to 2000 – Member of Parliament of the Legislative Assembly of the Jogorku Kenesh I convocation, Chairman of the Committee on polity and legality.

From 2000 to 2005 - Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Jogorku Kenesh II convocation.

In 2000-2001 – Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Jogorku Kenesh.

In 2002 he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Council.

From 2005 to 2007 – Member of Parliament of Jogorku Kenesh III convocation.

From 2005 to 2006 - Chairman (Speaker) of the Jogorku Kenesh.

In 2006 he was elected as a Chairman of the Constitutional Council.

From April to July 2010, he was Deputy Chairman of the Interim Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, and was appointed as responsible for constitutional reforms in the country - the Chairman of the Constitutional Council.

In October 2010 from the list of the Socialist Party «Ata Meken» was elected as a member of Parliament of the V convocation. A member of the parliamentary Committee on Social Policy. Leader of the parliamentary faction "Ata Meken".

In January 2012, the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic was headed by the Commission on the development of agreed proposals for further reform of the judicial system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Honored lawyer of the Kyrgyz Republic, State Counsellor of State Service of the  I Class.

Was awarded the "Commonwealth" of the IPA CIS Member States.

Was awarded the "Manas» II degree (Presidential Decree of the Kyrgyz Republic of 30 November 2011).

With the Presidential Decree was awarded a special badge "April Eldik revolyutsiyasynyn BAATYRY" ("Hero of April People's Revolution") (2011).
