Ashgabat – a roundtable on “The efficiency of the Judiciary and Access to Justice as the key elements of the Rule of Law” will take place on 9 April 2013 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
This roundtable is a joint activity of the Venice Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and the authorities of Turkmenistan. Participants of this meeting include members of Parliament, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Court and the Institute for Democracy and Human Rights. Discussions will focus on the fundamental issues pertaining to the efficiency of the judiciary and to the rule of law. A possible co-operation programme with the Venice Commission will also be discussed.
This activity is organised within the framework of the project "Equal before law: Access to Justice for vulnerable groups" funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and implemented by the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe.
