Azerbaijan – electoral issues

Baku - The Venice Commission and the Directorate General of Political Affairs of the Council of Europe organise a Round table on the “Results of the 6 November 2005 elections and perspectives of co-operation in the field of electoral legislation and practice”.
The main objective of this activity that involves representatives of Milli Majlis, the Presidential administration, the Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan and other institutions is to have an exchange of views on possible ways to improve the electoral practice for the 13 May by-elections and on future co-operation between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan on improving the electoral legislation.
