Tbilisi - The Venice Commission organised in cooperation with the Central Election Commission of Georgia a regional conference on Gender Equality in electoral processes. Among keynote speakers is Ms Herdís Thorgeirsdóttir, Vice-President of the Venice Commission; she made a presentation on the international standards in the field of elections.
This activity falls in the framework of the Programmatic Cooperation Framework (PCF) for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe. It involves the central election commissions of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
