The Venice Commission is saddened by the death of its former substitute member in respect of Peru, Mr Carlos RAMOS NÚÑEZ.
Carlos Augusto Ramos Núñez was a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Peru.
He specialised in the history of Peruvian law of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
He was Director General of the Center for Constitutional Studies of the Constitutional Court from Peru, Director of the Judicial Academy of Peru, and Director of the Peruvian Journal of Constitutional Law.
Our sincere condolences to the family and friends. The Venice Commission will miss him.
