Visit to Bolivia

La Paz - a delegation of the Venice Commission visited Bolivia to meet with representatives of the Bolivian authorities and discuss the modalities of possible cooperation in the implementation of the new Constitution. This cooperation will be financed by the European Commission.
During the visit it was agreed to start cooperation in the field of constitutional justice. The authorities informed the delegation inter alia of their intention to request an opinion of the Venice Commission on the new Law on the Constitutional Court. Other laws could be subject of the Commission’s opinions during the year 2010.
