By letter dated 4 May 2018 the Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments by member States of the Council of Europe requested the Venice Commission to provide an opinion on the amendments to the electoral legislation and related “harmonisation laws” adopted in March and April 2018 in Turkey.
The Venice Commission prepared an opinion after the parliamentary elections in Turkey planned on 24 June 2018.
