In the framework of the preparation of the draft opinion on the draft legislation implementing the constitutional amendments on the judiciary of Serbia (draft law on judges, draft law on the organisation of the courts and draft law on the High Judicial Council), the Venice Commission’s rapporteurs met online with the representatives of the following interlocutors:
• Supreme Court of Cassation
• High Judicial Council
• Association of Judges of Serbia
• Parliamentary majority and opposition
• Ministry of Justice
• Academics and civil society representatives
The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 132nd Plenary session of the Commission (21-22 October 2022).
