In the framework of the preparation of the draft joint opinion on the constitutional and legal framework governing the functioning of democratic institutions in Serbia as regards elections and political parties, the rapporteurs of the Venice Commission and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, met with the representatives of the following interlocutors:
• Republican Electoral Committee,
• Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Parliamentary Groups and independent MPs,
• Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self Government and Ministry of Finance,
• Administrative Court,
• Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media,
• Anti-Corruption Agency,
• civil society and international community.
The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 133rd Plenary Session on 16-17 December 2022.
