The Government of Sweden has made a voluntary contribution of SEK 5 000 000 (approximately €455 000) to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases and to support the activities of the Venice Commission. The part of the voluntary contribution earmarked for the Commission constitutes €62.500.
Ambassador Mårten Ehnberg, Permanent Representative of Sweden to the Council of Europe, met with Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.
