Albania - Electoral questions

The Venice Commission is organising, in co-operation with the Albanian Central Election Commission, a training workshop on elections with a view to the next local elections, which will take place on 12 October 2003. The first part of this workshop will deal with electoral litigation and is aimed at members of the Central Election Commission and the Electoral Appeal Body, as well as members of experts of the Constitutional Court. The second part will deal also with the composition and functioning of election commissions as well as with the electoral process itself - including vote counting - and is aimed at a broader public (including representatives of political parties and NGOs
