Venice, Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista - During its plenary session, the Venice Commission will have on its agenda for adoption or endorsement a considerable number of draft opinions concerning 10 states: Armenia, Bulgaria, Chile, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine.

Santiago - a delegation of the Venice Commission carried out a mission to Chile and held discussions with authorities and other stakeholders on the ongoing constitutional reform in the country.

Rome - The Venice Commission contributed to the organisation of the International Ombudsman Conference on "The role of Ombudsman institutions in the world: between realities and possibilities", held in Rome, on 21-22 September 2023.
This conference with more than 250 registered participants, organised by the President of the National Coordination of Ombudsmen, the Ombudsman of Lazio, brought together more than 60 Ombudsmen from all continents.

Vienna - Ms Claire Bazy Malaurie, President of the Venice Commission participated in the 3rd thematic discussion of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) on the implementation of the Kyoto Declaration, held on 21-22 September 2023 in Vienna and online.

In the framework of the preparation of the draft opinion concerning the draft Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Akyikatchy (Ombudsman) of the Kyrgyz Republic”, the rapporteurs of the Venice Commission held online consultations with the Ombudsman, experts of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) the representatives of the civil society organisations and the international community present in Kyrgyzstan.
The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 136th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission (6-7 October 2023).
