Albania – forthcoming opinion on judiciary reform - visit by the rapporteurs

Tirana – a delegation of the Venice Commission visits Albania in the framework of the preparation of an opinion on the judicial system reform, namely on the draft constitutional amendments on the European integration and the judiciary.
The rapporteurs will meet President of Republic of Albania, Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament, Chairman of Ad Hoc Parliamentary Committee “On Reform of Justice System”, and opposition members in Ad Hoc Parliamentary Committee, Chairmen of the Constitutional and High Courts, Minister of Justice, representatives of the international community present in Albania.
The October plenary session of the Venice Commission authorized the delegation to prepare and send to the Albanian authorities a preliminary opinion, prior to its adoption by the next plenary in December 2015.
