Tunisia - Freedom of expression – international seminar

Tunis - Representatives of the Venice Commission participate in the seminar on "Trade on the normative and institutional guarantees of freedom of expression", organised by the Council of Europe in partnership with the Arab Institute of Human Rights (AIHR) and the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF).
This activity provides for an opportunity to discuss constitutional and legal guarantees of freedom of expression in order to provide evidence that can inform the work of the new Constitution. A working session is devoted to the creation of new regulatory authority of Tunisia (HAICA) and good practices that contribute to the effective establishment of the independent regulator in Tunisia.
