Albania - revision of the electoral legislation and voter registers

Tirana - The Venice Commission, the Directorate General of Social Cohesion of the Council of Europe and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE (ODIHR) take part in meetings with the Albanian authorities on the revision of electoral law and voter registers in Albania. The aim of this activity is to ensure the full conformity of Albanian electoral law and administration with the principles of the European electoral heritage. The joint recommendations of the Venice Commission and OSCE/ODIHR on the electoral law and the electoral administration in Albania serve as a basis for this exercise.
