Chisinau – a delegation of the OSCE/ODIHR and the Venice Commission rapporteurs visited Chisinau in the context of the preparation of the Joint Opinion on the draft electoral code of the Republic of Moldova.
The delegation held meetings with the following interlocutors:
• the Minister of Justice;
• the Central Election Commission;
• the Audio-Visual Council;
• the Judicial Committee for Appointments and Immunities;
• the parliamentary factions of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, the Șor Political Party;
• Representatives of civil society.
This draft joint opinion is prepared under the Quick Response Mechanism within the framework of the EU/CoE joint programme Partnership for Good Governance, co-funded by the Council of Europe and the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe.
The draft joint opinion will be submitted for adoption at the forthcoming plenary session of the Venice Commission (21-22 October 2022).
