Strasbourg, Council of Europe – The Venice Commission issued its Urgent Opinion on the draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on improving the procedure for the selection of candidates for the position of judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on a Competitive Basis”.
The request was made on 10 October 2022 by Mr Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Urgent Opinion will be submitted for endorsement by the December plenary session of the Commission (Venice, 15-16 December 2022).
