Request for follow-up opinion - REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

By letter of 11 November 2022 the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Moldova requested a follow up Opinion of the Venice Commission on the draft law on the Supreme Court of Justice, which was revised further to the Joint opinion of the Venice Commission and the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law (DGI) of the Council of Europe on the draft law on the Supreme Court of Justice, adopted by the Venice Commission at its 132nd Plenary Session (Venice, 21-22 October 2022).

The draft follow-up opinion will be prepared jointly with the DGI of the Council of Europe and submitted for adoption during the 133rd plenary session of the Venice Commission (Venice, 16-17 December 2022).

This opinion will be prepared under the Quick Response Mechanism (QRM), in the framework of the EU/CoE joint programme Partnership for Good Governance, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
