On 17 January 2022 the Minister of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic requested an opinion of the Venice Commission on
the Rules of Procedure of the Jogorku Kenesh ( the parliament) and on amendments to the Law on the Rules of Procedure of the Jogorku Kenesh concerning the procedure for ratification of international treaties.
The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption during the 134th plenary session of the Commission (10-11 March 2023).
This opinion will be prepared in the framework of the joint European Union – Council of Europe Central Asia Rule of Law Programme 2020-2023. The programme is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
