VIIth World Congress of Constitutional Law - Athens, Zappeion Megaron

The Venice Commission takes part actively in the VIIth World Congress of Constitutional Law, on the theme “Rethinking the Boundaries of Constitutional Law”

In this framework,

- Mr Bianku (member of the Commission, Albania) presents a contribution to workshop 1 (“Popular involvement in Constitution-making?)
- Mr Paczolay (member of the Commission, Hungary), presents a contribution to workshop 3 (“Electoral systems: striking a balance between legitimacy and political instability”)
- Mr Scholsem (deputy member of the Commission, Belgium), presents a contribution to workshop 6 (“What constitutional developments are useful for resolving conflicts within a state?)
- Mr Buquicchio (secretary of the Commission) presides the 1st plenary session, on “The Constitution between conflict and stability” and workshop 1, entitled “Popular involvement in Constitution-making?”
